Ahhhhhh.......... The wonderful world of miniatures!!
It all started with a gift that my son gave to the special girl in his life. He gave her a dollhouse in kit form and they proceeded to build and decorate it to their liking. Then came my house kit. We had so much fun with this fascinating hobby!! Soon, just building wasn't enough.
Presented with the opportunity to purchase a dollhouse & miniature store, the stage was set for the opening of Dollhouse Dreams & Miniature Wishes. We are located on the mighty Mississippi River in the historic downtown district of Fort Madison, Iowa.
We carry a full line of miniatures. You'll find dollhouse kits, miniature furniture, furniture kits, custom made dolls, building materials, flooring, and wallpaper, as well as miniature accessories and glues in our 1300 sq. ft. showroom. In our builder's room, we have ample space to hold camps and building workshops.
Our yellow lab, Allie, grew up at the store. She hasn't missed a day of "work" and is a favorite of our local customers. She especially likes our UPS man. He always brings her a bone when making a delivery. She will be happy to greet you while visiting our store.
When you have finished shopping for miniatures, you must take a moment to rest in our beautiful Terrace Court Yard and enjoy the 70ft. long x 40ft. tall mural depicting the history of Fort Madison, believed to be the largest outdoor mural in the state of Iowa.
